BNP Paribas hosted its first Blockchain Bizhackathon for the Americas platform in New York on the 7th and 8th of September. During the event participants explored how the technology can advance the consumer/ client experience and improve the efficiency of the services offered in different areas of BNP Paribas’ CIB platform. Recently the bank has invested in a dedicated team of blockchain developers and managers and held multiple Bizhackathon events in Europe.
BNP Paribas has become a member of the R3 consortium, European CDC initiative and is on the Board of Digital Asset Holdings. This first edition of the Americas Bizhackathon marked the unveiling of the bank’s new in-house Innovation Lab at its Americas head office in New York.
